We launched "karaksa hotel" in 2016 and currently operate six properties across Hokkaido, Tokyo, and Osaka, alongside managing the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Sapporo.

When conceptualizing this business in 2015, Japan faced a clear supply-demand gap. With a massive surge in international visitors expected ahead of the Tokyo Olympics, the market was dominated by standard business hotels or high-priced city hotels—leaving a severe shortage of accommodations designed specifically for international tourists. We founded karaksa hotel to solve this problem, driven by a desire to create a hotel where all guests, including those from overseas, could enjoy a comfortable and reassuring stay in a style that is uniquely ours.

To establish a strong presence within an already mature domestic hospitality industry, we recognized that we had to disrupt traditional industry norms—a challenge we have continuously embraced ever since.

What we value the most is ensuring that our team members remain energized and fulfilled, and to that end, even amidst the labor shortage across the industry, we have consistently prioritized creating an empowering workplace where staff can thrive since our founding.
With international staff accounting for 40% of our workforce at karaksa hotel, we clarify job descriptions and have introduced initiatives such as language incentives and advance retirement payout systems to assist with overseas remittances—striving to cultivate an environment where team members of any nationality can build long-term careers.

Furthermore, beyond real estate management, XYMAX Group also expanded its services to room cleaning and linen supply services, enabling an effective vertical integration across our hotel operations. This seamless, one-stop in-house system which is rarely adopted in Japan due to labor shortage, ensures the stability in our operation . Combined with this stable employment model and the dedication of our staffs, all Karaksa Hotel properties achieved an average occupancy rate of 98.5% in FY2025.

What sustains karaksa hotel's operations goes beyond a well-equipped work environment. It is driven by the hands-on dedication of our frontline team, where every staff member takes personal ownership of operational challenges and boldly tackles them. Building upon this foundation, we look forward to stepping onto a new stage overseas, co-creating a business model that is uniquely ours alongside our global team.
